Guest mjt2810 Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Found this post on the Excalibur forum, and have found that VC1.6 for Smartphone is not working with my bluetooth headset. Works fine with my WM5 Excalibur, but not my WM6 Vox!! http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry820150 Anyone else having the same problem??? M.
Guest uggit Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 My Samsung WEP-200 bluetooth headset works fine with VC1.6 US on my S710. When I push the BT headset button I get the VC prompt (through the headset) and VC recognizes and responds to my commands. If you installed VC1.6 to storage card instead of main memory you may need the following hack (worked for me): Note: VoiceCommand over BT works by default when you install to "main memory" If you install on storage card, you must use the following hack: 1) copy vcbthag.dll file from \Storage Card\Program Files\Voice Command\ to the \windows directory 2) open registry editor to: HKLM\software\microsoft\bluetooth\audiogateway\ a) edit the key: BTAGExtModule  set the value to \windows\vcbthag.dll 3) power down your device and reboot
Guest conan_troutman Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 (edited) if rumours are true WM6 doesn't have a headset profile...well some people are complaining about lack of it. could this be the problem please check your device to see if the profile has changed to headset when connected...also try checking your profile list to see if it is listed. please let us know as this may be a decider for me in my upgrade later on Edited May 16, 2007 by conan_troutman

I tested it listening to music and making a phone call with my S710. Sound quality for the tunes was amazing, my friend said I sounded great through the phone. Edited May 17, 2007 by Dster

Guest conan_troutman Posted May 17, 2007 Report Posted May 17, 2007 I got my answer from another forum there is NO headset profile yes there is headset connectivity but there is not a dedicated profile for when it is in use... so this may be the problem for VC
