Is the Omni dead

The latter months of 2006 were awash with rumours of Universal replacement code named the Omni coming out.

Now I know we have the Advantage, but that is by no means the same form factor as the Universal, so my question ins have HTC dropped the Omni or are we looking at further delays.

Either way I am getting tetchy as there is nothing to replace my beloved MDA Pro with.
