Guest Rhinestone Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 These arrived today. Had previously been using Jessops PDA screen protectors but their latest version have changed since I last bought a set and they are now a bit naff. Arrived after a couple of days. Chanced my arm on a set of these off of eBay and I have to say its a major improvement. They are pre cut to the shape of the screen with an eliptical cut out that goes round the nav button. Next to invisible when one is fitted. Crystal clear. Brilliant. So pleased I have ordered a second set. Heres a link to one that ends in 6 days but the ebay sellers ID is "Flexi-Glass" (minus the quotes) CLICK HERE They do other models of phone as well. Very impressed.
Guest Prof. Yaffle Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 I ordered some of these on Friday. They turned up today along with my E650. Just about to try them for size.
Guest JamieDow Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Let us know how you get on Prof. Yaffle
Guest Prof. Yaffle Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 I've just fitted mine and it looks good. Has a slight overlap onto the screen surround but doesn't cover the whole surround. It also comes with a Zeiss lens cloth to clean the screen before you attach the protector. Not quite as thick as the one I had on my C600 but then I got three of these for the price of 1 on the C600.
Guest mattpayne Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 how much does this cover??? is it the whole of the screen, silver surround with a hole for the earpiece... or is it purely the seethrough part of the screen??
Guest Prof. Yaffle Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 It covers all of the screen and sticks out to cover approximately half of the silver surround around the screen. At the top of the screen it finishes on the silver surround approx. halfway between the screen edge and the earpiece.
Guest nehvada Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 durasec will very soon offer screen protectors which will cover the whole area including the chrome surrounding from top to bottom (keypad). the current version only covers the display area and the dark surrounding (which is actually a silver surroundin on the german version of the s710) i will hopefully get some samples next week to see if they fit properly. i will let you know then.

Guest nehvada Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 (edited) actually they are offering them from now on. just search for durasec s710 on ebay (or somewhere else). they are pretty fast in improvements  but i would wait with orders until i can confirm they fit :P Edited May 18, 2007 by nehvada
Guest Prof. Yaffle Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Just a quick update. The Flexi-Glass protector seems to have picked up quite a few scuff marks and scratches after only being on for a week. The one I had on my C600 before (I'm not sure of the make) seemed to be pretty scratch free after a year. Any news on the durasec ones nehvada?
