Guest the_maplebar Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Hi, all. I'm new here so please be patient. I'm having a problem with Media Player on my MotoQ with Windows Mobile 5. Sometimes when I pause the track, go do other stuff, when I come back into Media Player it looses it's place . It's really frustrating because it works fine for 2-3 days, I can pause a track and leave it overnight and start up at the same place in the morning. Other times if I leave Media Player for 20 minutes it resets. I'm using this to listen to audio books wich are in WMA format and are DRM'ed. I've tried TCPMP which works fine for the WMA's, but not the DRM'ed ones. So if anyone has a solution to any of my questions I think I can find an acceptable work around. Is there hack, tweak or trick to get Media Player to stay where it was paused? Is there a trick to tell Media Player to start at X location? (some of the audio books are 10 hrs which is a looooonnnnng time to fastforward) Is there another audio player that supports DRM'ed WMA files and works better? (book marks would be nice, but at least a reliable resume where you left off) Thanks so much.
Guest looeee Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 Hi Welcome to the forums I wrote this app a long long time ago AsxOfEvil to overcome the pain of fastforwarding to the middle of a WMA It requires eVB which you can get by installing any of the apps from here All it does is spit out an asx file which is in the xml format and use the starttime element to skip to a part of the file. The documentation is here if you fancy making your own looeee
Guest the_maplebar Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 Thank you, that looks very promising.
