WMP - file formats

Hi, I have some mp3 files which were saved with Winamp and they won't play in WMP because, I believe, they have compressed ID3 headers (If I sound like I know what I'm talking about, rest asured, I don't!) so I can play them on my PC using Winamp but not on my PPC using WMP.

How do I either remove the offending tags or is there a (free) player for the PPC that will play these?

[Edit] OK sorted! WinAmp had saved them with ID3 V2 tags which can't be read by WMP - I downloaded MP3 Tag Tools and used it to mass convert them :rolleyes: [/Edit]

did it save them with just ID3 v2 tags?

my mp3s has both ID3 V1 and V2 tags on them, or at least what TagRename says its done lol, and mine work ok, allthou most of the time i use beta player than WMP
