Gmail sending mail probs

Hello one and all

I have used the email wizard in my s710 to set up automatically my .mac and gmail accounts. I can send and receive email via .mac nae probs at all and I can receive gmail messages too.

I cannot however send gmail email for some reason.....I have checked the gmail settings against those on my HTC P3600 and palm treo 680 and they are the same so I can't fathom why the s710 would refuse to send gmail out.

Any ideas?
