XDA iq with Imate rom - calls but no text messages

Hi,

I have an O2 XDA IQ which has a imate rom on it. It is sim unlocked with the spv developers tool.

I recently changed contract to orange and am having trouble with the new sim.

It happily connects to the orange network and can make calls perfectly, however when i try to send a text message i get a 'Sim not valid' error immediately.

does anyone have any idea why this would be the case and how to fix it?

I am struggling without txt message access!

Hi

Did you get this sorted? I have done exactly the same thing and have the same problem. Tried the QTEK rom too but no luck. Strange thing is my sim works ok in other phones and other network sims work in the IQ just not orange how odd! It wont let me save the message centre number in the phone either.
