Washing a screen protector

Orange replaced my m3100 - as it had developed a fault.

Unfortunately, while moving the Martin Fields screen protector from the old handset to the new handset, I put it down on the wrong surface and it got all dusty. I've tried running it under water, which seems to remove much of the dust (but not all of it). However, I can't find a way of drying it without making it all dusty again!

Any ideas on...

a) How to wash it 'better'?

 How to dry it properly?

I usually shake vigorously then place between 2 quality kitchen towel sheets, they absorb and don't get soggy too quick that they'll leave stuff behind on the protector. Good luck on getting it onto your screen after drying without getting some specs of dust on it though.... they're out there waiting for you to dry it off, then they'll pounce
