Guest dogo Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 Ok this may be a silly question? When you run the update file i.e. EUU_M700_WWE_R01_052_0436_MOT1114_WM6. The message box that pops up advises that you should backup all data (goes without saying really) but how do you back up the Flashdisk.. I really do like what the M700 comes with.. Regards dogo
Guest dogo Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Ok when you run the install program it comes up with Welcome to the PDA update program. This program will assist you in updating the USB downloader and the OS on your device. Warning! If you do not follow our update instructions, the device may become unbootable! Please follow the following steps and then continue : 1. Backup all the data on your PDA Including the PIM, installed programs and those in the FlashDisk; After the OS update is completed, all the data on the device will be cleared. So I take it, then the ETEN device works the same as the HTC devices ie Orange M600 and has a copy of the installed programs hidden away on another part of the device.... So I believe I need to access this to take a copy of all the programs held there? On the M600 you need another program that would unlock this part so you could view this partition.. do I do the same here? Regards Dogo What do you mean by the flashdisk? P
Guest burtcom Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 On the M600 you need another program that would unlock this part so you could view this partition.. do I do the same here? Nope -- the new ROM has all the ETEN software with it. Just backup all your user stuff.
