what means "beam"? (C720w with wm6)

i'm from china,(www.ioicn.com.cn/bbs)

i just set wm6 on my c720w(Dash)

and in the "Comm Manager" there is a "beam"(no.8)

i wanna know what exactly it is

In the Comm Manager Beam means opening the infrared port so people can "beam" you items and also enables you to actually recieve items when your bluetooth is on and another bluetooth device is sending you something.

not very stable but it's ok

beam can also use the awesome power of infrared lol. nah, infrared sucks.
