Guest markfj Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Hi I recently bought a SPV c550, as I wanted a smartphone with decent battery life and I read reviews saying that this phone has a good battery life. Can I ask how you can get a good life on this phone lol, I know that sounds like a silly question but my phone will nromally die within 10 hours after being charged all night. I have turned bluetooth off and the screen off within 10 seconds and still my battery life is poor, is everyone elses the same, or is there something that can be done to extend the life of my battery. Thanks all Mark
Guest Thaed Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Hi Mark, When I had a C550 I bought a replacement battery off of ebay. It's slightly more powerful that the bundled battery so it lasted a bit longer. Other than turning off bluetooth and not playing any video on the device there's not much you can do  David
Guest markfj Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 ok thanks, i appreciate the reply I have one more question though... when I turn my bluetooth off about 1 minute later it turns itself back on again, it managed to stay off for 2 days and the battery lie was so much better, but since I used it again for tomtom and it connected the my GPRS receiver it wont stay off
Guest jasnewt Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 ok thanks, i appreciate the reply I have one more question though... when I turn my bluetooth off about 1 minute later it turns itself back on again, it managed to stay off for 2 days and the battery lie was so much better, but since I used it again for tomtom and it connected the my GPRS receiver it wont stay off It's the bluetooth that will be killing your battery life. Unfortunately you can't switch bluetooth off whilst using TomTom. It's the reason I didn't buy it, because my main use would be on foot, and didn't need to use GPS constantly. I didn't see any sense in killing my battery for no good reason! I don't recall if TomTom automatically shuts off bluetooth when you close it. If not, just go to the phone settings and turn bluetooth off from there. If you have closed TomTom and bluetooth is still being turned back on, I have no idea what is wrong! Jason.
