Can't perform app unlock on HTC S621

When I attempt to edit the registry in my HTC S621 (Rogers) using either MobileRegistryEditor or RegEditSTG.exe , I cannot change the necessary values to perform an application unlock. When I change the value, say, from 2 to 1 in 00001001 I get an access denied error message. I have already performed the IMEI unlock and that seemed to work successfully. Any suggestions?

I used regeditstg2. It worked for my registry change. I never tried regeditstg. I am running wm6.

mike i am also running the s621 from rogers wireless,

did you do a full unlcok and did you run into anyproblems after the unlock

by unlock i mean

sim unlock and app unlock?>???

Yes... I did a complete unlock before I did the app unlock. I can now load programs that could not be loaded on the 621 before these were performed.
