Bulletproof Method for Text Inputting in Russian Qtek 9200 ROM!

Simple.

After installing the ROM, don't do anything, leave Russian language intact, don't change to English!!!

DO THIS OPERATION STRAIGHTLY AFTER INSTALLING ROM.

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE ANYTHING WITH YOUR SYSTEM, TRY THE METHOD - IF IT FAILS, PERFORM HARD RESET.

Establish Activesync Connection, run Breaksoft Mobile Registry Editor (www.breaksoft.com/Blog/Utilities/ 2005/1/Mobile_Registry_Editor.aspx) -- FREEWARE! (You may need to isntall Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 on your computer)

Edit the registry key:

HKCU\MUI\CurLang

Change its value from 1049 to 1033

Reboot the phone. Now it will be in English, just like you changed it via Regional Settings

Now you will have Russian text input - just set right English method by holding * Key.

With this method you don't need to mess too much with registry, and you have * PopUp Menu and SYMBOLS!
