Guest tfujiwara1 Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 OK, so i've tried everything I could think of and also tried stuff related to making omapclock on my device from several forums and still can't get the program to work.... I have a smartphone running WM3 SE and has an Intel XScale PXA262 200 MHz Processor which should work right??...I've installed HTC Unlock, SDA Application Unlock, and Surreal Networks Applilcation unlock...I've tried installing and running both on an SD card and phone memory, but either way when I click on the .exe file or shortcut I created the program will start and then instantly closes (literally in a split second, i just get a glimps of the omapclock menu then program instantly closes)... I've also tried using omapclock with tornado power control, but according to TCMP there is still no frequency change and when I run omapclock the same thing happens.... Does anybody have any suggestions/answers on what to do??? Please, this is getting super frustrating!!!! Thanks in advance!!! -TF

OmapClock only works with Omap processors. i know that this program overclocks Xscales, http://www.immiersoft.com/ but idk if it will work with smartphone

One can only hope.... Just one last question though out of curiousity, are smartphones with Xscale processors a rare breed?? If so, why is that?? Edited May 31, 2007 by tfujiwara1
Guest Confucious Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Why do yoyu want to overclock it? Isn't the battery life poor enough as it is?
Guest tfujiwara1 Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Why do yoyu want to overclock it? Isn't the battery life poor enough as it is? ...why overclock?? quick answer: because I can...or in my case...can't. :P battery life does suck though  ....its my first windows smartphone and just have been addicted to it, trying every app I can get my hands on....hey can you blame me, i had blackberry before upgrading to WM smartphone....which i couldn't do an f'in thing on except email...ouch!
Guest Confucious Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Overclocking is likely to cause problems and reduce battery life - your best bet for trying stuff is to join MoDaCo Plus and try out all the free members benefits
Guest snowman5373 Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Anyone know of a OMAP overclocker that suppots a Dash with WM6? Thanks
