Guest mikehulme1983 Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Hi, I installed photo contacts on my Xda Orbit the other day. since then wheneva I try and change my ringtone as in i goto settings, sounds & Notifications, then when i click on the notifications tab it locks up and i have to do a soft reset, I have uninstalled photo contacts and that didn't work, I have also gone to clear storage to do a hard reset and this has not solved the problem? Has anyone got any ideas? Also is there any rom updates out yet for the xda orbit yet, and whats the latest on windows mobile 6 update? Thanks
Guest xeno1 Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 If you did a hard reset, then it cant have anything to do with photo contacts anymore because everything on your phone is wiped clean and replaced. There wouldn't be any remnants of it left. By any chance are some of your ringtones on your sd card? I was thinking that it was possible that sounds and notifications might be having a problem with one or more of your ringtones since pretty much the only thing that would still be the same as it was before you did a hard reset would be data you had on your sd card.
Guest mikehulme1983 Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Yeh I store all my ringtones on my SD card, this has never been an issue before? I'll delete all the ringtones off the SD card then see if that helps it. It's very annoying now because my message tone is just a little beep and i never hear it lol
Guest mikehulme1983 Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 I have removed all the ringtones from my memory card and still no joy. This is very confusing. Is there anywhere I can download the ROM and reinstall it form fresh to see if that works??
Guest xeno1 Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 That, I'm not sure about. The best place to check for ROM's is over at XDA-Developers website. You can pretty much get anything there. Try one more thing though, try removing your SD card all together and see if that solves the problem. If it does, it might just be time to reformat your card and put everything back on it. That"s a whole lot easier than flashing a new ROM.
