Guest rslc Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 hi, i have a problem using outlook mobile on my new samsung blackjack. it is loaded with windows mobile 5. i am sync-ing over the air with my work exchange server. when i want to forward an email, it always forwards it as an attachment (.eml file), unless i click on the "edit" hyperlink in the message body. this is very annoying as some servers block .eml attachments and i want people to be able to read my emails without downloading the attachment. anyone help? thanks friendly forum users.
Guest spacerace Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 this is done to be more efficient on bandwidth. when you forward a message in this fashion, only your reply is sent from the phone over the air. the exchange server attaches the forwarded message locally and sends it on, meaning you don't pay the extra kb on your data plan for the increased message size. unfortunately I don't know of a way to switch this off, but if you can it's probably a setting in exchange somewhere...
Guest rslc Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 thanks dude, makes sense. really annoying feature but i get what it's trying to do. weird that i can't change the setting from the handset though. rslc.
