Using plugins in Tabs

I'm working on a new homescreen and was wondering if you can display plugins within tabs with farcade.

My idea is to have the first tab as the home tab where time, date weather is displayed then have the calendar as the second, and so on.

But when i do this farcade doesn't want to load my theme. Is there any way to work around this or maybe im' just going about it wrong.
