Guest Samuran Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Afternoon all I know that a lot of people will probably sigh that there is another topic about WM6 but I've got questions to ask. I've read the guides, but there is something I'd like to check. I need to make a note of my connection settings so i can set up my device so it still works on orange once i'm done. Is this simply as case of going start-settings-connection(tab)-connections-manage existing connections-clicking edit for orange gprs and orange internet and recording the info displayed? i.e. name: Orange GPRS WAP. select a modem: cellular line (gprs, 3G). access point name: orangewap. then on mine the username, password, domain are all blank and the advanced settings are all server assigned. is this right? i was expecting to need to write down numbers? Im guessing i need info for txt msg service center? voice mail? orange mms? Is there a complete list of things you need to find out first? does someone have a list of all these settings already? Any help would be a plus. Cheers

Yep, that chould do it. I'm sure the Orange web site also has the required settings should you miss something. Edited June 4, 2007 by soup dragon

You can download a cab file that contains all the settings required. If your 'really' lucky, you'll find it attached to this post!OrangeUK_rabdo.cab

Guest MrBaz Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Amazing!! I'm guessing that i just install this like any other cab to smartphone/ppc? Cheers Yep! I have mine saved on the memory card for future re-use. May I also reccomend the LSVW's latest ROM. I find my battery lasts much longer and very rarely need to reset.
Guest Samuran Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Anyone have any idea where i should look for the radio ver 1.38.01?? Cheers
Guest UndeadDevil Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 XDA-Developers have all the ROM's. And heres all the Orange Settings in case you need them (If the cab doesn't work) http://www.filesaveas.com/orange.html
Guest martinwilliams999 Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 Anyone have any idea where i should look for the radio ver 1.38.01?? Cheers Start/Settings/System/Device Information If your M3100 is already running 1.38, it's probably not worth changing to 1.41 when you upgrade to WM6. I have left mine on 1.38 and it works just fine, plus there's no having to mess about with any settings. Martin
Guest Samuran Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 Hi All Right I'm now up and running with black dymond 3.5, one thing I've noticed here at work my G in a box to show im in gprs signal is this morning an E. Anyone have any ideas? Im sure that last night at home (in gprs signal) it was a G.... normally it is a G at work too. Is the E for edge? and if so what is the difference between G (gprs) E (edge) and 3G (for 3G obviously  ) Cheers Ben

This came to M3100s in the last Orange update, and is obviously also included in WM6. When you see it in the Start bar, you get a faster Internet connection, but no video calling. Martin
