Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Good first post... tell the other members about what you drive! Here's a template, and my answers: Car: Black Mica Mazda 6 MPS Extras: Factory Nav (the only option available on the 6 MPS!) Mods: Various cosmetic, silver bulbs, black plates, shark fin, stealth GPS install, painted pillars Mods to come: Clear markers, side MPS badging What I like about the car: Very subtle, very quick, good value... 256bhp stock through all 4 wheels from the 2.3 turbo motor What I don't like about the car: It can be quite thirsty, and the boost is addictive! Previous car: Audi A4 3.0 Quattro Next car: Who knows?
Guest genaldar Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 White 1990 Cadilac Sedan DeVille. Stock except my back windows are tinted. This summer I'll get around to tinting the front windows. It also needs some minor repairs (brakes need a little work, hood lift supports need replacing, muffler, and the arm rests are pretty beat up). It also guzzles premium unleaded (15mpg if I'm lucky). It may not be impressive, or economical, but it runs (knock on wood) and is comfortable.
Guest dropofdreams Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 1998 Nissan 240-SX. Nothing special done to it yet..Just intake and sparkplug wires.
Guest martinwilliams999 Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 2004 MG ZT-T in British Racing Green. I wish I could afford the 260bhp version with the Ford Mustang 4.6 litre motor. Instead I had to plump for the 160bhp 1.8 turbo. Still shifts a bit though, and easily fits 4 bikes & a dog in the back. Previous car Rover 75 v6. Basically the same car but with soft and wallowy suspension - made my kids travel sick! Martin

Guest dodding nonkey Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 OK Petrolheads, family car time..... (read the mpg and weep!) Car: Renault Laguna 1.9dci Expression. (Euro 3 spec engine) Extras: Nil (only onboard satnav available - but thats what I have a ppc for!) Mods: Nil Mods to come: Nil What I like about the car: Climate control, 6CD autochanger, electric everything, no ignition key (smart card), automatic everything (handbrake/wipers/lights), cruise control/speed limiter all come as standard. + 60mpg commuting to work each day. 74mpg on journy from Taunton to Perth. Hence >1000 mile range on a tank (15gals) thats all the way from London to Rome without a stop (if you have a cast iron bladder!). + Takes 4 adults in luxurious comfort. + Enough torque to tow a truck so overtaking is a breeze. + About 1/4 the price of a similarly spec'd BM or Merc. What I don't like about the car: ........ I'll get back to you when I find something, but nothing so far in the last 2 years! Previous cars: Austin Maxi 1750, Austin Alegro VP 1750, Citroen 2.5CX GTi, Escort Mexico, Toyota MR2 Mk1, Proton Persona, Volvo 640 GL, Kawasaki GT750, Honda ST1100 (yes I know they're both bikes but my 1st wife left and took the car with her - Bitch!), Proton Impian. Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 Maxi! Now there's a blast from the past  Pretty varied car history there dodding nonkey! P
Guest dodding nonkey Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 If you think about it you can track my personal history, young lad first car, series of fast cars (in their day, the alegro being the wierdest - left traffic lights in a blur, but if you even showed it a photo of a bend it body rolled like a stranded whale!), then married sensible cars, divorced - hence bikes, now back to sensible family cars again. Is ther a prize for this? If so is it an Aston Martin  or a Bugatti :P ?
Guest martinwilliams999 Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 Maxi! Now there's a blast from the past  Pretty varied car history there dodding nonkey! P I can beat a Maxi. My first car was a 1967 Morris 1100 in Old English white. It was just 6 months younger than me, and would just about hit 60mph down a steep hill (if the wind was in the right direction). I kept it for a couple of years then changed to an ORIGINAL Mini Cooper. How about other people's first cars? There must be a wide variety among this international community. Anyone had a Trabant?
