Guest loomastic Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 Do you guys think it can compete with the iPhone?
Guest Malkatraz Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 (edited) A couple of questions: What is the sudden obsession with multi-touch screens? Of course I've ever used either the iPhone or the Touch, but there seems to be a lot of fuss over it. Secondly, why would you use a similar or worse specced machine to compete? Even just adding the capability of 3g would have been a big plus. Is it about cost? Edited June 5, 2007 by Malkatraz
Guest Ovie Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 It's too early to tell I think, the iPhone's not released as of yet so no one knows the general user problems that might come of it. On a price level though, the Touch is at reasonably good value I'd say. The only thing is, it's quite a slow device with that OMAP processor, even with WM6 I've watched the videos and it seems pretty slow, I suspect the iPhone will be noticeably faster. Oh and the other thing is the keyboard, the Touch requires you to use the stylus for the onscreen keyboard, whereas the iPhone doesn't even have a stylus - it will be interesting to see the reviews on this and how easy it actually is typing with your fingers/thumbs on the screen.
