Guest pedd Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 Hi, I'm a very happy T-Mobile customer who batters his web and walk pack. However, my wife has just moved to a new job where the personal email and web policy is somewhat restrictive. To help her out I'm looking to get a SIM for my old unlocked SPV M2000 so she can check her email and check the odd website while she's at work. The question is, who do I get the SIM off? T-Mobile aren't interested. Orange and Vodafone seem expensive (to someone on web and walk). Anyone got any suggestions for a data-only, sim-only deal? I don't mind signing up to a 12 month contract if need be... Thanks, Pedd
Guest chucky.egg Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 I tried to find this a while back The best T could offer was a £15/month voice bundle (harldy any minutes) and a £7.50/month WnW bundle. That works out at about the same cost as a Data bundle with a USB 3G modem, so you might be better off getting that and flogging the modem to subsidise the tariff.
Guest mr_end Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 Surely you could buy the t-mobile sim only deal on the web for 7.50 a month and add the web n walk deal onto that once you have subscribed? I do not have one but I am currently looking into it - I have been told this can be done. http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/eshop/personal/sim/paym-plans-sim.do>T Mobile Sim Only Deal
Guest chucky.egg Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 That might work! Be nice to get T CS to confirm it before buying
Guest pedd Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Thanks for the feedback guys. I really wanted to put the business T-Mobile's way as they have impressed me since I joined, but neither of the CSRs I spoke to was aware of anything they could offer me for less than £27 p/m (with unused voice minutes). After scouring the web, I've ended up with a £20 SIM from vodafone, £2.50 p/m inc 1mb, £1 per Mb thereafter: http://www.scancom.co.uk/product.php/1838/...68ce4f1c8e54ee8 I've got a data counter on the PDA, so I'll be able to keep track of the charges. (Or at least, the wife will! :-) ) Thanks again for the help guys! Peter
