Guest aholdt Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 Hi all! This might be an newbie/stupid/"Read The Forums" post - but I just can't make it work. I've been trying to set up Outlook to store on SD card instead of internal memory. I've found existing posts explaining how to modify the registry like this: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\MAPI String "AttachPath" point to \Storage Card\Mail\Attachments String "PropertyPath" point to \Storage Card\Mail I have created the directories on the SD card. After this I have shut down / restarted the phone, but Outlook keeps storing mails in internal memory. I've tried playing with different registry settings (for instance my SD card appears as "Lagerkort" (danish for Storage Card), but setting this in Registry does not make any difference). Most/All of the posts I've read is for WM5, - perhaps this is not the way for me (WM6)? Anyone who can help? Regards Allan

The registry location for those keys has changed in WM6, they are now in HKLM\System\Inbox\Settings the name and contents of the keys should stay the same. You'll need to do a shutdown and restart for the setting to "stick" upon which it should use the storage. If it doesn't, select the "Clear Account" option in the inbox and do another reboot.

Do the String names have to include the Quotes " ? I.e "AttachPath" or AttachPath Which one is it? EDIT: Used values without quotes AttachPath and PropertyPath, and all working fine. aholdt/Phil John - Thank you for this  Edited June 13, 2007 by paholman
Guest itsgottobedone Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 I'm having a similar problem with other files. When using active sync all items, with the exception of the 'media' folder are being placed in the internal memory and not the memory card. Is there a simply way to default all data to the memory card for sync purposes?
