Guest ajb3000 Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 I recieved an MMS from a friend (first one since I decerted my phone months ago!), and when I opened it, it came up 'Downloading Message', connected to GPRS and waited a minute and then said 'Transfer Failed'. Any ideas?
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Nobody has ever sent ME an MMS... X'@
Guest v1nn1e Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 What happens if you come out of inbox, go back in and load the MMS again. It will try to download it again i think. Worked for me in the age of free MMS!
Guest ajb3000 Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Tried that about 5 times now, fails every time. I'll just add that I have recieved MMS before with no probs, but this was before I decerted and before the update.
Guest martin Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Many de-cert hasn't worked properly. Go into Settings/Data connections, menu - edit connections, GPRS connections You should have Orange MMS with access point orangemms. You could also check setting/accessories/mms setup ? Not sure if it will help, but i've got Orange MMS IP : 192.168.224.10 port : 9201 Mmsc Address : http://mms.orange.co.uk Message expiry: Max MMs Download : Auto I know some people have been doing a hard reset if any MMS/SMS problems occur.
Guest ajb3000 Posted March 29, 2003 Report Posted March 29, 2003 ok, I went to a friends last night (about 10 miles away), so I was definately on a different transmitter. I tried again there and it worked, I presume there is/was a problem with my local transmitter or something.
Guest HelloDave Posted March 29, 2003 Report Posted March 29, 2003 I've had this happen before, and it worked when I changed location! It's another "GPRS works when it feels like it" problem! If you'd tried the internet when the MMS failed i'll bet it wouldn't have worked!
