Guest Ed Newman Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 Hi All, I've got a m700 through orange. I've set it up to use my work wireless connection which it does fine (can connect to website etc). However, as soon as the push email sync kicks in it automatically connect to Orange 3G. So my question is, can I not use a wireless connection to get my emails via push technology, and once the 3G has connected, which connection is being used for web browsing (3G or wireless)? Thanks very much in advance. Ed.
Guest pupton Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 unfortunately Windows Mobile devices require a gprs/3g data connection when using direct push. I believe you can still browse the web via wifi even when there is an active data call... Devices like the Nokia e61 can use direct push via a wifi connection if thats specifically what you need...
