Backup for E650 / WM6?

Hi All,

Does anyone know if it's possible to back up the E650, on to memory card or PC?

My previous Nokia N90 had this facility, plus my old pocket PC was also able to backup to either a memory card or PC, so does anyone know if this can be done with the E650 or other WM6 devices.

The reason being, I want to run Paul's new debrander, and I'm paranoid about losing data, having to enter contacts etc etc.

Any advice appreciated!

Sprite Backup 5.2 works like a champ on my Vox aka E650 (as it did on my WM5 Qtek 8310/HTC Tornado).

after knackering my phone over the weekend, i bought sprite back up 5.2 for my e650. installed ok, but will not back up - cannot read databases or something.

pain in the arse, anyone else tried to get sprite to work on an e650 ?

Have you downloaded the Orange signed version of Sprite? Check their website if not, as there is a separate version for Orange phones. The error sounds similar to the one I had when I tried to run the normal version on my old C600.

checked sprite's website : says this : Both the PocketPC and Smartphone versions are now Orange signed – We appreciate your patience while we worked through the Orange signing process.

so it's not a signing installation problem. bit weird really.

Ah, sorry. Hadn't realised they have one version now.

In that case I can only advise posting a request for help on Sprite's forum.

Is backing up not working or restoring? Or both?

if your phone is application unlocked sprite back up works a charm , it did on my orange rom and also on the dopod one :rolleyes:
