Guest Buckster Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 Im sorry it this has been asked before. Im not lazy ive had a good look around but i cant seem to find an answer. As im running out of space on my M3100 im looking for stuff to delete. I have several things installed which i D/Led and the origional cabs are still on the device. Can i safely delete these or will it uninstall the software or worse. Im thinking they are like installers on a normal PC which can be deleted after the software is installed. Does anyone know of any other ways to safely free up more space. Many thanks
Guest chucky.egg Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 Deleting CABs wont remove the software, but you won't be able to easily reinstall it They tend to be small so wont free up that much space
Guest jimbouk Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 Put a microsd card the device and move cabs etc to that. (a 1gb card is about £7 these days)

Ta for your help .CAB files (CABinet) are just like Windows Installers for your mobile.. You can remove them after installation... In the end its just a .zip based package with an installation.txt in it.
