HTC S710 Security

I love HTC S710 ....but I am concern about the security ...let me explain ....When I am conected thru WLAN I think I am very uncovered when Iam on line in Internet ...so can anybody tell me if it's at list o.k. when I am over the Internet thru Wi-Fi ...I mean I can be hacked or lose information that I have on my mobile , like contacts and staff ...?? I know that Wi-Fi is not 100% secure , and I bought this phone especially for the Wi-Fi ...so I am concern that when I am conected thru Wi-Fi I can lose my contacts .... I mean I am not try to hide from guvernamental agencies or stuff like that but in general ...I want to know how secure I am with this phone when I am on-line over the Internet ....I REALY LOVE THIS PHONE !

Obviously with any wireless communication there is always some degree of poor security, but unless someone is specifically targetting your phone you should be fine. The S710 supports WEP and WPA which should be enough to keep you secure!
