Custom Text Tones...

Hi,

I've set up a custom ringtone for a couple of my contacts and these work fine when they call me. But when they text me only the standard text sound that I've setup sounds.

Is this normal or am I missing something?

It's normal.

Usually you can only use wav files for text notifications and there has never been any native support for custom tones.

If you have a poke around places like MoDaCo Fairdeal, Handango & Smartphone.net you will probably find a commercial solution though.

Thanks for that. I've had a motorola foir the past couple of years and got used to this feature.

wait till next month for the new photo contacts Pro(V5) for Smartphone already out for PPC this hopefully will allow text tones to be set per contact...at least you can trial it see if it does but I would hate you to buy some thing nferior to this product just becuase you were not aware its on its way.....but I am not saying it will do this but the PPC version does so its a good chance it may.
