Shortcut problem

Hello there,

Using my E650 for a while now, its just awesome.

Altho, i have a few programs that don't have a shortcut in the Start Menu, but just an executable on my Storage Card.

I remember from the older Windows Mobiles, there was an option to copy a .exe and paste it in the Start Menu folder

as a shortcut.

But, i can't find that option anywhere anymore, nor another solution. Tried doing it manual in Windows, by copying the exe

to the desktop, then create a shortcut, and tried to edit the path like it is on my E650. Tho, Windows isnt taking

the changed path for granted, it says the path doesnt exist, so i can't save the new path.

Any idea how to create a shortcut in the Start Menu, to a .exe on my Storage Card?

Cheers in advance

On the PC, browse to the EXE on the device and right click. Select 'Create Shortcut' and you'll see a shortcut file appear. Copy this shortcut to \Windows\Start Menu, rename as required, and hey presto

You could also use something like Resco Explorer to do it directly on the device (free to Plus! members btw!), as that has a 'Send to Start Menu as shortcut' option.

Thanks for the tip, but the option Paste Shortcut greys out for me when i've copied the .exe, when i do it on the PC. Im using Win Vista, so im not exploring through ActiveSync. Could that be a prob?

And, i tried the above, cause there no option to create a shortcut -at all- when i rightclick the .exe. There's only Open, Copy, Remove and Properties.
