Guest booboobedoo Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 Hi, The question is as per title : can anyone tell me whether the SPV C600 is compatible with 4Gb mini-SD cards ? I bought one from a reputable vendor and it didn't read in the C600. It eventually seemed to die almost completely (capacity reduced to 30Mb) but at first it did store 3.8Gb in my C500. Is it worth trying a branded (SanDisk) card instead ? Thanks, Boo
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 I had the same experience as you. I would think that whichever manufacturer you go for you would always be running the risk of imminent data loss / corruption.
Guest conan_troutman Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 2 Gb is your limit on most smarttphone devices if not all...(PPCs however may be able to run larger capacity cards)

Would you (or anyone) happen to know if the SPV E650 (based on WinMobile 6) gets around this limit ? Thanks again, Boo
Guest wazmo Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 Thanks for the heads up. Would you (or anyone) happen to know if the SPV E650 (based on WinMobile 6) gets around this limit ? Thanks again, Boo I am using a Topram 4GB MiniSD in a stock US T-Mobile SDA with no problems.
Guest conan_troutman Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 every one say that till they fill then realise that yes you can access all the files but the are so slow that songs stutter...ring tones if stored on the card start ring just as the caller decides to hang up as he as been waiting for you to anser for three to four minutes. and disabling alarms for programs stored on the card can take up to five minutes. also if you have too many root folders then only half of them are actually accessable even though they all show on the device...and this is from experiance of using three different branded 4gb mini sd cards(Including the topram) on my qtek8310 so my advice will always be no until I shown otherwise
