Have you downloaded the latest TomTom Navigator 6 update from the TomTom website?

I had problems with my 3100 until I did this.

Since then TT6 has worked quickly and reliably.

What specific problems are you having with TomTom6- many people use this successfully on the 3100, so there is no inherent problem.

The newest version of TomTom Navigator 6 (January 2007), available in the tomtom.com download area.

It is supposedly just for PDAs with built-in GPS receivers, but sorted out stability problems with my install.

Before installing the update, my TTN6 would crash every time I tried to browse the maps or change preferences without my Bluetooth GPS connected.

I have a M3100, only two weeks old and still shipping with the original Orange ROM from July 2006. My genuine copy of TT6 is pants on it - constantly hanging in maps and menus (though it does clear when I start and stop the phone app.) and I can't flip out of TT6 to use apps from the Start menu unless I start the phone app first (it's the only one that seems to override TT - though TT does try to fight back at first!).

I'm considering going for the new Orange AKU3 ROM of April 2007 from Orange's Business site or Black Shadow (recommendations would be appreciated BTW as BT GPS pairing and PPCProfilesPro NOK reports are worrying me a little), but my question is about activation of TT6 once the new ROM is installed.

Is this a problem? Can the Activation Code be reused? Does the Device Code used by TomTom for PLUS services remain the same?

Many thanks!

I have the latest version of TTN6 and the AKU3 rom installed and it is perfect...it is the best GPS software I have ever used full postcode search accurate and quick and it locks on in about 2-10 seconds every time, never crashed once, I use an apparently unbranded Bluetooth GPS using 32 satelites.
