is there any way to set mp3 ringtones as sms messages or alarms, i know there is rjv tonesetter but that is for smartphone is there any software for ppc

You could look at Ringo Mobile. I've no personal experience so can't comment on how it functions

I just place the .mp3's in Application Data\Sounds and they will show up in the column where you select the sounds for sms and alarms.

Tested on Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone and Windows Mobile 6 Professional.

For notifications there are a bunch of places you can put them (including in the main storage card folder and in My Documents on the storage card).
