Skype 2.2 crashes everytime I try to make a call over WiFi

Hi all,

Today I downloaded and installed Skype 2.2 for my T-Mobile Vario 2. But to my disappointment, for some reason I cannot make calls over it. I connect over WiFi and everytime I try to make a call it says 'connecting' and then just disappears. Nothing in ever listed on the running programs, it literally crashes on me. However, I can chat without any problems.

Any ideas?

Yes they have removed support for calling out from skype 2.2 for the tytn among others its a known issue the most current version of skype is chat only and crashes when making a call.

There are heated discussions on XDA about this and on skypes forums

for a link about this. Id recommend using the last beta (which worked fine on the hermes with voice calling)

no idea why they have removed support as it worked well and the hermes was one of the few with fast enough processors too

Ok, I just installed the BETA version from this link.

However, the problem still persists. It quits just after shows 'connecting...'.

Any help is very much appreciated.
