Internet on my PDA

Hi People,

I ventured out and bought a PDA on thursday. The model I bought was the "Toshiba E330", running Microsoft Pocket PC 2002.

Now, It has an infrared port, and as I have a Nokia 8310, I can get them to talk to each other, and I have successfully accessed the Internet via a "data call". The speed seems to be OK, however I am getting disconnected every 5 minutes or so, which is rather annoying.

I am on a special package with Vodafone (I am not quite set on going Pay monthly as we are looking to get a bulk solution in a couple of months, allowing free calls to a from our employees).

Anyway, I was just wondering, is this the best way to do things? I am happy to go out and buy a T68i or any other bluetooth phone, and find an adapter to get it working with the PDA, as keeping the phone and the PDA inline is a bit of a pain.

SO, basically, anny suggestions would be great

Regards

Asif

Sorry, I should have been clearer above:

Basically, I want to know what Provider will let me make free/cheap 0800 calls during the day (preferably PAYG, until we do the switch).

Thanks

Asif

AFAIK, NONE of the mobile telco's likes 0800 numbers, daytime or at any other time. They're not even keen on 0845 numbers. It's a serious problem when using your mobile as a modem to pick up emails. GPRS is the getaround (no dialup ISP needed) O have a deal with Freeserve (they're both France Telecom subsidiaries) to allow free access to Freeserve's 0845 dialup number from any Orange mobile. Pity is has to be "daytime" - O2 have some amazing SIM-only offers right now, with massive amounts of off-peak "free minutes" for a nominal monthly fee.
