Guest conan_troutman Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 Hi guys.. I have TomTom mobile 5 (TT5) installed on my qtek8310....I have it on 2 GB card so I can have music and video and lts of installed programs...I have not edded anything to it in a while but the card capacity id deminishing slowly...I know why i just cant cure it, well I can but I want to try another way. my way is to copy the original card files to my 2gb card this will set everything back to default setting...but I only want to remove the ever mounting list of recent destination. can some please tell me where this info is stored so I can simply edit it or remove to keep the limit of recent destination down to just one or two entries...currently i have about 70 to 80 plaese help
Guest nehvada Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 i guess the way your are trying it wont help you at all. because the recent destinations stored on your device needs so very little space on your card that you wont recognize significant changes. the reason is, tomtom only stores the adress data for these destinations, NOT the complete data for the route. it wouldnt make sence anyway because you will allways be at another location when you decide to go to one of your recent destinations. it allways calculates an completly new route when you need it. so no need for the complete data. hope this makes sense
Guest conan_troutman Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 it makes complete sense but my storage is depleting fast I haven't put any thing on for a couple of months the only added thing are recent addresses...maybe I have a text file growing on there too that I havn't noticed.
