app unlock problems

Hi

Im new to this forum so go easy. Ive recently purchased a E650 Ive read up all about the app unlock function and ive already downloaded the cab file from the orange france website. On the email it says:

'Once downloaded, place the file into /Windows/ Start Menu/ Accessories on your Mobile device, using ActiveSync'

How and where do you tranfer this file. Ive looked on my device using the explore tab on active sync but i cant find any of the above path? Can anyone please break down what i do with the file in a step by step fashion.

For Windows to be seen via active sync you need to go into folder options and view hidden files.

You can place the cab file anywhere really on the phone, once done, find the cab file on your phone and open it. It will decertify your phone.

I also recommed running the following cab and HTC Unlock software afterwards to COMPLETLY unlock the phone.

MoDaCo_E650_ExtraUnlock.cab

HTCUnlock_CVS.exe

thanks moham. Have managed to open the file via windows explorer. It took 15 mins to unlock but i think its finally done it!! You mentioned some other cab files to 'completely unlock' it but didnt post the link? please!?! :rolleyes: What will this cab file unlock?
