A guy on this forum did post about the possibility of selling replacement cases, possibly in different colours - apparently he could get them ffrom the manufacturer. I'm not sure if he went much further though, as I don't think there was a huge amount of interest at the time (remember that most people who opted for an spv over a nokia find actual funcionality more important than changable covers!)

No cases that I'm aware of but try here...

carry case

Not exactly what you're after, but they've got a 'proper' carry case, and not the manky 'synthacow' horizontal one that came with the phone.

listen iv got an idea. a little while ago some1 posted a topic abt condom cases. i suggest some1 gets in contact with the manufacturer and get them to produce a large amount of these cases an sell them. any1 agree with me? i had this case for my 6210 and it still looks brand new even tho i'v dropped many times. this is the best type of case. it protects against all kinds of accidents.

If you're talking about the main casing of the spv (front, keypad, screen) a Danish company sells these for around £15.

Need to get the casing on mine replaced soon, too. It's looking decidedly used now and, defying logic, mine seems to have 3 layers of dust particles under the screen  This is not intended as a rant about the quality of the casing, by the way; I never use a case (too damn ugly and inconvenient) and I have the bugger in my pocket all the time (fluff-city). It's be nice with a brushed steel casing, à la Siemens' SL45.

Am I the only one that reckons the platic used on the back of the SPV feels like Bakelite? (ask yer grandad) ;)

Fantastic! Now I can just go ahead and de-dust my screen without worrying about trashing the case! Fancy posting a link/email address?

...and how good is the quality?

Anders_g >> yup... I wrote them an email asking for confirmation whether they do have the fronts or not, as well as a price. I wanted to wait for their reply before giving up their site, as it could easily be bombed with a lot of emails from modaco users...

I've got this this from Teleservice Odense today.

It says mainly that the front + glass cost aprox. 11€ I don't know whether the keypad is included or not.

Here you have to add the cost of shipment, but it's pretty cheap as I see it.

Yes it is Teleservice, i got a front, keypad, and frontglass from them the dk price is 128kr ( about 18£ ) and around 400kr ( about 57£ ) if you want teleservice to do it.

I did it myself, took 5 min to change the old cover, and now my spv looks as new 8)

You can order it from mail, or fax, or pick it up from Teleservice Odense

im not really sure about ording by mail, because i send one to them and gor newer any respons before im called them.

One more reason for not buying Nokia phones, instead of SPV
