Guest ipaltd Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 (edited) Hi all, I'm pulling my hair out, I've invested tens of hours of all too valuable time, searched the oracle (Google), and more specialist (and useful) forums such as your esteemed selves. All to no avail. I'm using Vista and Windows Mobile Device Centre (I've tried 6.0 and 6.1). And my Vox was syncing fine for about 4 weeks. Then all of a sudden I am always getting the following error on syncing: 'Synchronisation could not be completed. If this condition persists, try deleting and then re-creating the device's sync relationships.'. Useful. So I tried to see if the items synching made a difference. Now the funny thing is, it's only when Calendar is synced I get the error. It goes up to 82/82 items in Calendar and then hits an error which causes syncing to repeat every 5 mins. and not cancel without disconnecting the phone (of course). So it's just when I sync calendar. Googled etc, nothing. Obviously I have deleted the partnership (on both the phone and Device Centre). Nope. Hard reset, soft rest. Nope. Unlock, re-lock. Nope. I've restored the Vista machine to the previous point I remember it working. Nothing. I can't think of anything else. Anyone else with the problem ? What's so special about the Calendar ?? Any ideas greatfully received before I simply give up on the phone and go Nokia.... Edited June 18, 2007 by ipaltd
Guest ipaltd Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Well I (eventually) fixed it. Only after many more hour, a new unit, ruling out Outlook and Vista (a new, empty, pst synched fine). So, as a warning : 1 OVERLAPPING APPOINTMENT CAN SCREW YOUR CALENDAR SYNCH!!!! The offending item ? My friends wedding day was entered twice. Once as a recurring event commending 2007, once as the same event and description as a yearly recurring appointment the next year. I wish WMDC/ActiveSync had a brain. Hope it saves someone some pain! ian Hi all, I'm pulling my hair out, I've invested tens of hours of all too valuable time, searched the oracle (Google), and more specialist (and useful) forums such as your esteemed selves.
