Guest lusunrose Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 British Telecom in Europe, as well as HP, will be among the first to provide smartphones with new VoIP offerings for their business customers. Is this possible, and what programs are available to use for the VOX / E650. So far all I know is Skype.... Guest moham_i Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 Live messenger allows you to send voice clips which is pretty cool!
Guest NCR Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 Is this possible, and what programs are available to use for the VOX / E650. So far all I know is Skype.... Would be pretty neat if there was a program which allowed you to make free wifi voip calls!!! :P :D :D To Enable it download and install the < http://218.93.115.138/d900/patch/WM6VoIP.CAB > WM6VoIP.CAB < http://218.93.115.138/d900/patch/WM6VoIP.CAB > . Follow the instructions on < http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950 > this thread < http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950 > Customize the IPDialplan.xml in your windows directory (more details would be appreciated) Reboot your device and Settings->Phone->Internet Calling set the option "Whenever available" After you enable Wifi you should see a small icon in the top indicating that you phone has logged in to your SIP provider. Now you should be able to receive and make calls. (cut & paste from another board)
Guest Funky Dj Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 I have tested the http:\\www.fring.com solution.. It really works brilliantly.
Guest paholman Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 I have tested the http:\\www.fring.com solution.. It really works brilliantly. Both Skype and Fring work well, except they both use the external speaker so you need to use a headset, or be somewhere private to have a conversation.
Guest Amplificator Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 (edited) Use the method NCR wrote. I use it with my own S710, and got 300 minuts of free talk time every week using www.voipstunt.com (there's also www.voipbuster and a few others) Free for landlines only in my country (Denmark) (by free, I mean thsoe 300 minutes) Works brilliant, and just like any other call regarding speakers etc. Edited July 20, 2007 by Amplificator
