Hi

All of a sudden I can't send SMS messages. Very odd. Tried rebooting lots of times. I haven't changed any settings. I just keep hitting the 'SEND' command and nothing happens

Anyone have any ideas?

without wanting to sound smartypants...

coverage? can you still make voice calls? are the messages in your Drafts folder? do you have a valid number in the recipient field? credit (if on PAYG)?

can people send SMS's stood right next you on the same network - network congestion does happen but not for an extended period (usually!!)

beyond that, i'd try another SIM - if possible - to work out if its a hardware or account/SIM/network problem before looking at a repair...

Yes it was within coverage etc. I've 'solved' it now. Only had to reboot it about 8 times randomly, then suddenly it was working again!

Guess I'll never know...

Thanks

if that's the only thing that makes you wonder about these things, then you're on a winner!! i am regularly raising an eyebrow at mine wondering what wierdy its gonna pull next!

the latest one for me is the Most Recently Used plugin not working properly.. select ,say, the File Explorer icon that i was just in a moment ago and it goes to the front of the queue and no File Explorer opens! does it maybe once or twice a day - but not every day!!

I had the same problem. I simply switched off, removed the battery for 10 seconds or so, replaced the battery and switched back on. Works fine now. Rebooting without removing the battery doesn't do a great deal. Removing the battery soft resets the unit.
