Hi

I'm looking for a software for my HTC P3600 that can send my GPS position to a server that shows my position on a map on the internet.

Is this possible? What smartphone software and server software do I need for this?

Thanks

Well, I'm not sure about sending the position to a server, but Navizon and Windows Live Search both retrieve map data from the internet based on the GPS location.

CoPilot - you can invite people to track you and the invites can be set for time periods.

GPSMelody sends your coordinates via a text message to any one you want....never got it working though on my qtek you maybe luckier you can also recieve coordinates via SMS then navigate to them

Isn't this just a speed camera warning software?

As Paul has shown, no it's got a position update feature as well, better still it's in the trial / free version (can't remember the exact licence description)

Do you have a REALLY poor quality fix or something? Which device?

I used the built-in GPS in my HTC P3600. It said that it had about 7-10 out of 13 sattelites. A couple of time I could se that it failed to send the data but the next time was succesful.

I will try to use a external GPS tomorrow. Is it possible to reset the map?

Perhaps this isn't the right forum for these kind of questions?

Thanks for all the help so far
