Guest Wumpscut Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 Hi I'm looking for a software for my HTC P3600 that can send my GPS position to a server that shows my position on a map on the internet. Is this possible? What smartphone software and server software do I need for this? Thanks

Thanks Well, I'm not sure about sending the position to a server, but Navizon and Windows Live Search both retrieve map data from the internet based on the GPS location. http://www.navizon.com/ http://mobile.search.live.com/client/download.aspx Edited June 19, 2007 by Snooginsguy

Guest Wumpscut Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 Wa-holy crap! Do you have a REALLY poor quality fix or something? Which device? Something is very confused, i'll check out the data in the DB. P I used the built-in GPS in my HTC P3600. It said that it had about 7-10 out of 13 sattelites. A couple of time I could se that it failed to send the data but the next time was succesful. I will try to use a external GPS tomorrow. Is it possible to reset the map? Perhaps this isn't the right forum for these kind of questions? Thanks for all the help so far :W:
Guest Wumpscut Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 (edited) It just hit me, could this be a problem that sweden uses , as decimal separator instead of . as in US and UK? When I sent a mail with my position the link that was sent looked like this: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=57,728923,12,013412 It should look like this: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=57.728923,12.013412 Edited June 29, 2007 by Wumpscut
