Using Speed Dial for Texting

I have an E650 and prexiously an HTC S310, I always use my speed dials and configure key 7 to text a specific no.

This is no issue with my S310, however when I set-up my E650 to do this it seems to work either for a short period of time or until I turn the phone off and on again, I then loose this one speed dial.

All my other speed dials function with no issues.

Any body else have this problem or know of a solution?
