I was having probs with sending mms's yesterday. I also discovered that I was having problems connecting to the internet. Rang Orange and the gave me all the settings i needed. After inputting these settings nothing improved. Decided balls to it all and did a hard reset. While I was as it I thought i'd upgrade software, which went fine. Checked internet, and connected straight away. Decerted, and thought i'd try mms......no luck, nothing.

So...was doing some shopping and thought i'd pop into the orange shop to get it sorted. Bloke rings up tech sup. and puts me on the phone. Told to take battery off and wait 30 sec...... All went fine, internet back on...but no mms. got home, took battery off, this time went straight to mms....worked first time, but no internet.

After experimenting most of the day I'm starting to loose it...can anyone suggest anything.....PLEASE.

I can either have internet (which works once...i cant look at a few pages, do something else then come back) or mms. All worked fine until yesterday

TIA

GPRS (Which MMS and the internet both use) is very temperamental - does it not work in any location, or is it just at home? I've found sometimes GPRS seems to be down in certain areas and up in others, and sometimes it will continously stick on "dialing..." when you try to access the internet until you restart the phone. Bizarrely you might find it works perfectly in a few days!

Mmmm... interesting!

I lost my gprs through internet explorer last week after decert. Ihad a succession of problems, all of which except gprs were fixed by hard reset & decert again. I don't think my gprs problem is anything to do with decert, as the hard reset did not fix it.

Thing is, I can send & recieve MMS using gprs - which means it is available to myphone - but internet explorer says 'unable to place call'.

I have been waiting for orange tech support to get back to me for nearly a week now, so I think it is very intruiging that you say the orange shop let you speak to tech support, when the phone help line tell me that even they cannot speak to tech support!

I think I might get me down the orange shop tomorrow and start giving them hell!!!!

I don't think Orange know anything about these phones at all!

Nate that even when your SlM is not activated for GPRS you can send MMS so your trouble sounds like the Network has a hard time IDing you as allowed to connect... in any case trouble with the Access Points rather than with the base stations or such... SPV hard to authenticate?
