Guest GuyAdams Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 Firstly apologies for a post which is almost identical to one already on the forum. I have added a reply to this thread but have not received a response so thought I would repost. I have a Vodafone v1415 (aka Vox) and have tried to use the usual method for application unlock, setting the below registry values: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001001 = 1 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001005 = 40 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001017 = 16 However when I make the change I get a 'Unable to perform this operation' error. I have tried with regeditSTG, Resco Registry editor and Mobile registry editor, all cannot perform the change. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
Guest GuyAdams Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 Anyone got any ideas on this? Its preventing me on installing a couple of the Modaco apps that I would really like. Thanks

Guest Pr0sper Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 Thanks for your reply. Can the suggested cab be uninstalled should it not work or have undesirable effects? In worst case, the phone will be locked again :) But I'm not sure if the registry strings are restored when you uninstall the cab...
Guest GuyAdams Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 In worst case, the phone will be locked again :) But I'm not sure if the registry strings are restored when you uninstall the cab... It didnt work, the application install but the device is not application unlocked, all the registry changes where not completed. I have personally tried to edit the registry in three places and each time get a 'Unable to perform operation' error. Where to from here? Thanks
Guest GuyAdams Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 I used this: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry827906 Its unlocked the phone without issue. Thanks
