there are a few threads rolling around the Vox area that will be worth reading thru...

as a process, i would attempt to get the phone recognised by the router WITHOUT any security applied to start with as you will then have less to configure. Once you are familiar with the process for what the phone does, start to build the security back up to the level you are happiest with.

Once you have disabled all of the routers security in the WiFi settings page, your phone will be able to see the router and make a connection without having to enter and WEP/WPA security keys etc...

of course you could leap straight in and simply switch the WiFi on on the phone and follow the prompts.. it may well work first time - mine did!!! Bear in mind that you are likley to need to add the MAC address of the phone to the routers allowed device list to make it all work out peachy...

if you have tried this already without any success, how far are you getting and are you getting any error messages?

OK, I switched on the WiFi and it came up with a new network and asked if I would like to connect and now it is asking for my WEP key, how do I find this?

Got to say, this phone is awesome :)

hi butler,

you will need to log into the router usually by opening internet explorer and typing in 192.168.0.1 (this can vary, read the router manual for more info) - this should then connect you to the router settings page, where you will be able to see/change the WEP settings

hope this helps

some of the SKy Netgear routers have the WEP key on the label underneath, otherwise its like SkUk21 says, you'll have to browse to your router to check the settings.

my netgear router has put a shortcut on the PC desktop screen that gives you a quick and easy way to log into the unit.

hope you're getting on with it ok, post back if you have any problems.. i have my 2year olds birthday party today so i might not get back till later but keep playing and you never know your luck!
