C500 camera not working!

I totally refurbished my C500 the other day (new cover, joypad and speaker) which all work great. The only thing I forgot to check after turning it back on and testing everything was the camera.

Unfortunately, when I try to start up the camera application, it comes up with the following:

Unable to initialize camera: 'Failed to set up the camera device.'.

Does anyone know where to go from here because I have not got a clue. When opening the phone up I didn't even touch the camera so I don't know why this has happened. Any suggestions would be much appeciated.

Hmm, you don't mention it, so may I suggest to start with a hard reset and see.

Otherwise I personally don't see what it can be, except perhaps a mishandling while working the inside of your C500; could be a loose wire..?

there is sort of a ribbon cable on the phone which attaches from the camera to the board. The black plastic around the camera is held together by 3 clips. i do remember opening this but i put it back together again. what can i do? i really want to get the camera fixed! it does sound like the wire has come loose :)

does anyone have any further info on this or do i have to send it off to be fixed?
