How do I make attachments download automatically?

In WMDC, under the sync settings under Email, there is a check box:

"Include file attachments"

Then there is a checkbox for "Only if smaller than:____"

I NEED THIS TO WORK! But it doesn't. I set this to Include all attachments under 150K, and then when I take it off USB and sync to Exchnage ActiveSync it doesn't pick up the attachments. When I replug in the phone, these settings are back to defaults.

I've got the s710 and I've got my email redirected to store on the card so I have the space. I have WMDC 6.0 .
