Help with email settings

Hi there, I just got a T-Mobile Dash and am new to Windows Mobile, as I have been a Palm user for some time.

I have set up my email with the Dash, but just realized that when my Dash downloads my email, it disappears from the server and is no longer there to download into mu laptop. With my Palm, it would download to my Treo and to my laptop. Obviously I am doing something wrong here. Can anyone help?

Isn't this a simple case of you are now using POP3 whereas you were using IMAP before?

AFAIK, POP3 deletes from the server when you retrieve it, so you can only use one device (Phone OR PDA OR PC). But IMAP stores the emails on the server so you can access them from anywhere (coffee shop, work, home etc).

If I'm on the right lines here, you should try setting up a POP3/SMTP email account on your DASH instead of IMAP/SMTP.
