Guest Krib Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 Hey all. I'm hoping somebody can help me out with troubleshooting this issue. Every so often, I'll make a call, and the person won't be able to hear me, or will barely be able to. It's seemingly random, but when it starts happening, it keeps happening. I have to give up on making calls for an hour or two. Rebooting, taking out the battery... all useless. The phone's about a year old, and is heavily used. Still, since it's Cingular, I can't be sure whether it's their network, or if the thing is dying, or what. Warranty just expired too. So what can I try before I give in and go buy a crap phone for the remainder of this contract? I was really hoping some software / firmware update would fix me, or that somebody with this phone would go "yes, that happened to me and this is what I did to fix it" :) I'm running ROM version 1.0.9.0 / WM5 smartphone edition, and the phone is application unlocked... please let me know if I should give you guys any other system info. Thanks in advance.
Guest Krib Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 lol, wow. Can I get a sympathy reply at least? All of these fanbois, in one place, and nobody even has some stuff I could try?
Guest Chaser92 Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 it's certain. your microphone is broken. go buy a new one or give it to service centre.
Guest mitch1974 Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 It might not be your mic, check that the phone isn't stuck in headset mode. Sometimes the microswitch in the socket sticks and you have to use a toothpick to release it.
