yay! thats brilliant!

one minor niggle, it does seem to mess up some characters, not sure if it's the app or just the phone itself doing it.

heres a screenshot:

keep up the good work!

P.S. any chance of a FTP client? that would be really handy!

If we're gonna go for an FTP client - why not go the whole hog and get an FTP server running, and then a web server - have a whole domain running from an SPV

infact i reckon modaco should be run from a dedicated SPV

I like it "yesterday I was asked"

nice work, now I'll have to find a reason to use it ;)

cyrilthefish> the messed up characters are formatting characters used for setting color/position and such, the emulation that would react to formatting would take a fair bit of time to do and it wouldnt show correctly on such a small screen anyway.

I cannot get this to work! Run the program enter host details (tried both IP and name) set Port and press connect and nothing happens....

Am I missing something?

Thx

I am not sure but i think you have to open a gprs connection for it.

Load up a page using internet explorer then run the program.

Yeah v1nn1e , that's correct, i'll fix that later, if the security allow it

Weird stuff happens when I try to connect to a bulletin board system I use...

I have a feeling it's a setup issue at their end, since all I get when it connects is a "y" with an umlaut, a "y" with an accent and a percent sign.

Beardyboy > i think what happens is that the bulletin board checks to see which terminal emulation the telnet supports, and my telnet support none

Do you know which terminal type the board requires ? (VT52/VT100 and so on )

As far as I can tell the board is capable of talking to ANSI, VT52, VT100, XTERM etc etc. If you can be bothered, try connecting to muon.mono.org on the standard port 23.
